Can’t Stop the Serenity is a global charity event.  Since 2006, fans have organized screenings of Joss Whedon’s Serenity to raise funds and awareness to support Equality Now in their work for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world. Join us as we aim to misbehave for a good cause!

Our 2016 organizing crew are Sarah Wendling, Melissa Girimonte, Wendy Koslow and Jason Carlin. We’re a band of passionate fans, committed organizers, and just the right mix of geek and event experience to help this ship take off.

We would like to thank the Toronto Browncoats for their work and support making Can’t Stop the Serenity a Toronto tradition for the past 10 years.

This year, the Toronto screening is benefitting not only Equality Now (http://www.equalitynow.org/), but also the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/Multicultural Women Against Rape (http://trccmwar.ca/).  That way, we can help not only women around the world, but also women here in Toronto.
